Here is a piece of mine. ## Hi, Punto press is a tool for humans to gather and collaborate in creating magazines online. Magazines born from intention, not algorithm. Born from stupid jokes and giggles and conversations went nowhere but friendship, not clear bullet pointed conclusions. When words, images, even melodies proliferate through statistical inference machines, we gather to celebrate our own flawed stories. We believe it's more vital that ever that we continue to create, not in isolation, but together. We create with shared lived experiences, with compassions, and with everything human that we don't have to perform for or profit from. ## punto is a ~great~ tool for making magazines together. For such an important matter, we could use a great tool (wink). Good tools support users in getting their jobs done. Great tools make the process a form of joy in itself. Punto press aspires to be that great tool for collective publishing, collective meaning making. We will make publishing and operating peridocials as easy and as sustainable as possible for human creators. Easy means it is straightforward and fast to publish and operate an online magazine. Features such as hosting an independent page, clean layout, open calls, automatic payouts support this. Sustainable means structured operations and financially support of all the founders and contributors. Features such as role-based collaboration, co-funding, automatic payouts, and transparent automatic accounting support this. ## punto de renuión = meeting point Lastly, we want to be a 'meeting point(punto de reunion, in Spanish). I first saw this street sign when I was living in Mexico City; it marks where neighbors can gather in case of emergencies(such as earthquakes). You don't have to stay, or come all the time. But when you need it, you can come to Punto de reunion, and you will know there will be others too.
